The Gamestop Memestock Gambling Craze!

Hey Everyone, 

More and more the stock market resembles a casino than it represents a place of steady investment based on logic and fundamentals. I am completely for people making a buck, and nowadays we see stocks get short-squeezed just because their balance sheet is a joke. 

In today's podcast, I go over my thoughts on the entire thing, and how I am approaching it. I hope you enjoy - and remember not to take life too seriously, but be careful about these investments. 

• Buying Long and Trading Short (Discuss)
• Shorting makes a stock price go down
• The stock market has turned into a big casino
  • Derivatives and more advanced contracts allow complex trades
  • These markets are huge now with trillions of dollars in bets
• Financialization through derivatives and these financial institutions is what is hollowing out America
• The entire market is so closely tied together and some of these hedge funds that go under could cause contagion to the entire market
• Companies with high short interest get taken advantage of by these Wall Street hedge funds
• Now there is a natural weakness discovered by the market and it can be exploited by retail against the hedge funds
• At the end of the day this is why I hope for bitcoin
• The fact that there is only 21M
• The fact that your keys are your coins - solves this entire problem and fake paper money
• We will see the return to intrinsic value in the future due to bitcoin
• All this manipulation causes endless issues to the people working at GameStop while enriching the media, politicians, and hedge fund billionaires… until now

Overall, I think we will see more investments in memetics over the next several years... With these huge pops in stocks, it wouldn't be ideal to be on the short size or leveraged in certain cases. I think at the end of the day we need to respect mr. market to be random as always. I hope you all enjoyed this one - be sure to share and comment if you can!
