A Nation of Gamblers: People Lost on Hope

We have seen a pretty large uptick in the amount of gambling amongst our population over the past couple of years. As times get tough, many turn to gambling as it can offer a glimmer of hope, where often it seems like there is no way to get ahead.

• The saying “gambling is a tax on the poor” rings true, exploiting the most vulnerable
• Gambling thrives in a fracturing society, feeding on the despair of the hopeless
• Thankfully, accessible education and resources now help people grasp the true odds of gambling, fostering informed choices
