I hope you are all doing well! For the past several weeks, I traveled to several Bitcoin conferences. In this podcast, I go over both conferences and share some of my final thoughts. Specifically, I go over the following:
- Attended Bitcoin Vegas and Bitcoin Prague over the past month.
- Conferences are key for networking, connecting with Bitcoin enthusiasts, and getting firsthand industry insights.
Bitcoin Vegas:
- Mixed experience: fiat-heavy, expensive, and some shady #*@#coiners.
- Navigated the right circles, had fun, and made it worthwhile.
- Highlight: Ross’s incredible speech and meeting leaders at side events.
- Least favorite compared to Miami and Nashville; rated 6/10.
Bitcoin Prague:
- Standout event: intimate, focused on genuine networking, fewer scams.
- Some salesy booths, but the Primal booth was fun; enjoyed Czech pints while watching speakers or on the patio.
- Affordable food trucks; the only downside was the slightly remote location.
- Rated 9/10.
Final Thoughts:
- Bitcoin maxis should try international conferences like Prague over mainstream BTC events.
- Hesitant to attend another conference soon, but would likely choose one abroad for a better experience.
